Sun Life continues to deal with a systems outage impacting the benefits functions on the my Sun Life mobile app, and the Sun Life member service websites.
At this time UBC faculty and staff will not be able to submit claims online for Extended Health and Dental claims. Pay Direct Drug Pharmacy claims are not affected.
Sun Life has indicated that they have teams working diligently to fix the systems issue, and will let us know as soon as all systems are up and running (you can visit their outage update page, here). They also mentioned that their Client Care Centre is continuing to experience extremely high call volumes, and are asking plan members to call back at a later date if the call is not urgent.
In the meantime, the UBC Benefits team will continue to monitor the issue and we will update faculty and staff on the HR website as soon as Sun Life's online services have resumed normal operation.
