Employment Agreements for staff and student employee foreign workers will soon be updated to include language to comply with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.
The new language articulates worker rights and protections as well as information regarding work permits. Only offer agreements for foreign workers will reflect this change.
Hiring Managers are required to inform foreign workers on or before the first day of work that they have the same rights and protections as citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
This change will be implemented with the next Workday release in mid-March.
