Workplaces, filled with opportunities for productivity and personal and professional development, play an essential part in maintaining positive wellbeing among employees. At the same time, they can be stressful environments, and this year in particular we have all been stretched in many ways.
Our Health and Wellbeing team recognizes that various interconnected dimensions have an impact on wellbeing and a healthy workplace. These include mental, physical, professional and social aspects.
As part of our efforts to offer support in maintaining a healthy workplace, here are two programs you can take part in:
- Workplace Wellbeing Ambassador program: We are excited to announce the launch of our UBC Vancouver Workplace Wellbeing Ambassadors 2021-2022 cohort. Check to see if you have a Workplace Wellbeing Ambassador in your department to help increase social connections in your team.
- Register for Not Myself today: The Not Myself Today initiative through the Canadian Mental Health Association aims to help employees hold open conversations about mental health so no one has to feel alone.
